That’s right, we’ve trained a new Samurai to bolster our ranks and as such will be open during the day more often. To get you through the door we are slashing the hourly rate for weekday rehearsals before 6pm from £12 to £10 per hour, with all the awesome gear and fantastic attitude you expect from DSI included.

Celebrating Talent and Diversity in Tottenham

Expanding on the success of April’s Easter Street Parade (conceived by the TTP and executed by DSI and T-Chances), TAKE THE HIGH ROAD will be an all day event featuring live music, good food, stalls and activities, catering for all ages and tastes.

A FREE event will be held outdoors, scheduled from 1pm – 6pm, whereupon the event will continue indoors until 1am at an entry fee of £6.

£1 from every entry is to be donated to Youth Music’s Give A Gig charity to support life-changing music-making for young people across the country.

Additionally, The High Road Music Collective will be launching the TAKE THE HIGH ROAD Talent Contest. Bands will battle it out over four heats in November, culminating in an early December final to win a full audio and video production, promotion and distribution package with DSI Records, plus £200 cash!!!

Pete Campbell

International Reggae star and local legend, Pete Campbell really knows how to entertain the crowd.

Anil Duman and Sahin Erdogan & band -

Fresh from their successful shows at Daymer Culture & Arts Festival and the HMV Forum, Anil and Sahin bring their 4 piece band to take the high road, performing current and traditional Turkish music on the sax, guitar, clarinet and percussion.

Imperial Works

Hailing from the Tottenham warehouses, making music from their souls with a hefty shake of funk, a fair smattering of rock and a whole heap of blues (coloured with sunshine).


Local Youth Radio station showcasing singers, MCs and DJs

Jacob Aaron

Jacob has recently been featured on BBC’s introducing, confirming him as a rising talent to watch. Energetic beats and soulful melodies infuse his introspective art.

Paul Freeland

One man beat box and multi instrumentalist Paul creates acoustic pop from layers of live loops.

Denis Mandela Babatunde operates a music delivery service, turning up on bicycle all over london, channeling his Italian/Nigerian heritage through reggae and out of soul, with fire juggling show and band to boot!

Lillie Jamieson

Epic pop and neo-folk from this rising Tottenham based talent.

Stanley Browne

Born and raised in Hackney and inspired to make music by Tracey Chapman in the 80s, Stanley makes Simple Music for a Complicated World.

Bevis Frond

Veterans of the second Psychedelic Era, The Bevis Frond is a British musical group whose range covers hard edge to melancholy vintage indie rock to poetic, “classic-rock” songcraft. Nick Saloman is the band’s frontman and songwriter. They have recorded many singles and albums on various independent labels.

Pro Publico Bono

Polish melodic punk/ska band from London, formed by members of the Biała Gorączka, Non Profit, Ofiary Agrafki, Pozytywna Grupa Reggae, Atencja, Samolubny.

The Noblemen

With a sound best described as ‘Alternative Hip-Hop’, influenced by classic rock’n’roll, pop, grime, acid and all things electro, these guys hold an eclectic vision aimed at creating a new dimension to UK hip-hop..

I Am Meat

I am Meat: noun : a group of people, or ‘band’, usually a woman and three men, who play a variety of instruments (most often, but not restricted to, piano, drums, saxophone, and toys) and who, rather than having a lead singer instead have a man talking over the music in the guise of a variety of characters in order to relate a story, discuss an idea, or explore the mental and emotional makeup of a person or persons involved as the chief subject of any given narrative.

You may already be aware that only up the road at the Tottenham Green, the Haringey 40:20 Green Fair is also taking place from 11:30 – 17:00pm that day. What a great day for Tottenham! We are hoping the abundance of activity along the high road will attract an enthusiastic crowd who will be able to walk easily between the two events. Tottenham can look forward to a true festival atmosphere on the day.
